This is the latest plans that the airline has to try and survive the recession, the CEO of British Airways has said that they are in ‘a fight for survival’.

British Airways employees are understandably unhappy about the decision, but it is a clear indication on the direction of the airline industry in the current climate. Experts are compiling the estimated world wide loss for the industry to over $9 billion, and that is just this year alone.

It is no wonder that people are suggesting that it time for a bailout.
