Pilots often go through an entire career without any engine failure. No flying bird can stop a jet engine – All jet engines are tested with a whole chicken thrown into the engine to make sure they keep at full functionality. No foreign objects aboard – All luggage and persons going on a flight are checked using x-rays for anything that shouldn’t be there and would interrupt the flight. |
